I just pulled the trigger on a Proxxon rotary tool (N.28473) and drill press from Amazon. Getting perfect holes in the leather prior to stitching is very important to me. Gaining the traditional skills of just using pricking irons and awls is something I can live without so for me, it's drill press all the way!
Originally I wanted a Dremel but I have read the reviews of the Dremel drill press and the Proxxon seems to be much better.
